Ogelbeng Lutheran Highlands Seminary Receives New Operational Vehicle
The Evangelical Lutheran Church of Papua New Guinea (ELC-PNG), in partnership with Mission EineWelt, has successfully procured and delivered a new truck for Ogelbeng Lutheran Highlands Seminary.

The vehicle was acquired to replace the Seminary’s existing truck, which had been in operation for more than 15 years. Due to its age, increasing maintenance requirements, recurring mechanical failures, and limited availability of spare parts, the previous vehicle was no longer able to reliably support the Seminary’s operational needs.
The acquisition of the new truck addresses a critical logistical requirement and strengthens the Seminary’s capacity to effectively manage its daily activities. The vehicle will be used exclusively for Seminary operations and will support a range of administrative, academic, and institutional functions, including the transportation of personnel, materials, equipment, and supplies required for the delivery of Seminary programs and services.
The procurement was financed through the support of Mission EineWelt and coordinated through the Project Management Office of ELC-PNG. The investment forms part of ongoing efforts to strengthen institutional infrastructure and operational capacity at Ogelbeng Lutheran Highlands Seminary.

Improved transportation capacity is expected to enhance operational efficiency, reduce disruptions associated with vehicle breakdowns, and support the effective implementation of Seminary activities. The vehicle will contribute to the Seminary’s ability to provide theological education and leadership training by ensuring reliable logistical support for its programs and services.
The successful delivery of the truck demonstrates the continued cooperation between ELC-PNG and Mission EineWelt in supporting sustainable institutional development and strengthening the operational capacity of key church-based training institutions in Papua New Guinea.
